I’m incredibly honored to receive the Marketing Research Education Foundation MREF “Everyday Hero” Award—and deeply grateful to Steve Quirk for his unwavering support of my work with Baal Dan Charities.

But the truth is, the real heroes are the little ones my charity supports—children who face unimaginable challenges with courage, resilience, and grace.

What is a hero?
To me, a hero is a soul who can still smile and love despite:
💔 Growing up in an orphanage with no hope of adoption
🍽️ Facing hunger, even starvation, with no stable source of food
🚱 Lacking access to clean water, toilets, or sanitation
📚 Being denied an education
♿ Being abandoned or outcast because of a disability
And let’s not forget the quiet strength of the caregivers and founders of orphanages and children's projects—those who show up every single day to provide shelter, food, clothing, medical care, and hope.

They are the reason I keep going—and this award is for them.
